I have been working on our Senior Web site for the last couple of days. Finally I am happy to say it is on the internet. I still have a few things to finish up but you should check it out. Click on the picture to get to our senior section. Also, join us on the Lucas Photography Fan Club page on Facebook. There are over 100 images on there that I have photographed this senior season year.

Speaking at a photography conference
Mom and I were asked to speak at a four state photography conference in April. We are going to be speaking on Senior photography. It is quite the honor to be asked by our photography peers to teach a class. I am also going to be speaking in Arkansas at the beginning of April and also at our Missouri fall convention at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Senior Images
Photographed Ethan today. He is a soccer player for the Moberly Spartans.
Also, photographed Devin from Sturgeon. Very cold out today, but we still got some nice images even though my hands were numb.

About Us
Just updated the "About Us" section on our web site. This was a much needed thing to do because we hadn't done it in a long time. It is quite a book if you have time to read it. Check it out at www.lucasphotography.com and go to the "About Us" section.

This is the rest of my competition images that I entered yesterday in KC. I haven't heard how they scored yet. I will let you all know how they did as soon as I know something.

Competition Prints
Worked on competition prints for a good part of the day. These are three of the six or seven I will be entering this weekend in KC. I always enjoy entering images because I feel it helps me be a better photographer. I am always looking for those images that the nonphotographer might just walk by.
The first image was captured after it had snowed all night. I even got my car stuck in my own driveway. Finally I got to work and told dad we had to go out and get some snow images. We got about 10 miles from the studio and I saw the Amish carrage. Imagine how cold it was for them. I will title the image "Heading Home".
This image was taken when Megan and I were visiting Megan's cousins in Michigan. We had a great day at the beach. We ended up at Grand Haven to see the sunset. There were hundreds of people lining the beach and the lighthouse this evening. As soon as the sun went past the horizon line most of the people left. I stuck around and saw the most amazing colors reflecting off of the water from the sky. Most of the people that night didn't see beauty that I saw. Megan's cousins and I were glad we did.
I photographed this one early one morning in Mackinaw City, MI. My family thought I was crazy for getting up before daylight on vacation but I am glad I did. I was joined by one other couple seeing the sunrise and a few birds.

New Children's Section
Just updated our entire Children's section on our web site. Quite the undertaking but I am very proud of it. You will have to check it out. These are a couple of my favorite kids that I have grown up with. I photographed the oldest when she was a little baby basically when I was starting my career in photography.
